Anniversaries and Birthdays
Anniversaries are treasured moments and a time to celebrate with family members and close friends.

Let us help you enjoy these special occasions to the full. Wedding Anniversaries, in particular, are very special events – Our facilities are ideal for a large party celebration or a more intimate sit down meal with close family and friends.

Think of ‘Birthday Parties’ and you immediately think of kid’s parties with jelly and ice cream. Well, that’s part of it but by no means the full story – birthdays can be celebrated at any age, and our facilities lend themselves to organising the perfect party.

Christenings
Much like a wedding, a christening or naming ceremony isn’t just about the ceremony. It also includes a party – or reception – afterwards. It’s a chance to catch up with friends and for everyone to meet your baby. It can be a simple afternoon tea with cakes right through to a three-course sit down meal.

When you start planning a Christening reception, think about the capacity and the style of event you require. Undoubtedly there will be lots of other small children, and with our gardens and outside areas, this gives you even more scope to plan your special day for everyone to enjoy.

Funerals
The funeral reception provides an opportunity for family and friends to congregate and reminisce. We have experience in providing funeral receptions and will sympathetically attend to your requirements at this difficult time.

Accommodating any size of gathering from the smaller group right up to 250 guests, we can offer quality food served in comfortable surroundings, coupled with attentive service - all the things you require to ensure that this memorable day runs smoothly.  A private bar or specific reception drinks can also be arranged and any other specific catering that is required.

Function Rooms
Howard Suite

The Howard Suite is a prestigious purpose built conference centre with large conservatory area, incorporating patio and gardens, which can easily accommodate a marquee. This room is an ideal choice for a christening, smaller party or funeral reception.
The Suite has state of the art equipment including DVD and CD facilities and a comprehensive IT service if needed.
Catering and hospitality services are available to suit all budgets, including the option of a BBQ in the summer months. A licensed bar is available on request.
All our facilities offer a disability friendly environment.

Adjoined to the Conservatory
Room size: 9x7 metres

Ropes Hall

The Ropes Hall is our largest facility at the centre. Ideal for the larger event, seating 250 at tables and accommodating up to 300 guests (theatre style).
This prestigious and versatile room is ideal for a larger wedding, christening, private party or celebration, featuring a full size stage.
The room also benefits from a fully equipped kitchen adjacent to the main hall and crockery can be provided. A fully licensed bar is also available on request.
The attractive Memorial Gardens lead off the Ropes Hall, providing space and relaxation and are also ideal for a summer barbeque.

Deben Lounge

The Deben Lounge is ideal for the smaller more intimate event. We are more than happy to discuss room layouts to suit individual needs.

Orwell Room

This versatile room, seating 75 people at tables, is ideal for a smaller wedding, party or christening and has the added benefit of its own private fully equipped kitchen.
The room has a full range of audio and IT equipment if needed.

Stour Room

The Stour Room is a general-purpose facility available during the evenings, weekends and school holidays, seating up to 60 for a small function. The room is an affordable option for a small party or gathering.
