The Community Centre is a non-profit making charitable trust that hires modern, high standard rooms to local people, businesses and other organisations needing a venue for club events, private functions, business meetings, training sessions, dances and discos.

The rooms can accomodate from up to 300 down to 15 people depending on the type of gathering. The two larger rooms include an integral kitchen. A fully licensed bar is available to all customers. A caretaker is on hand to assist customers with the layout of their events. Catering services can be arranged on request.

The Centre hosts a range of established sports and social clubs. Mother and toddler playgroups are held regularly during weekdays and Fitness classes in the evenings.

The centre sponsors an annual programme of community events including big band and jazz concerts, dances and discos in the spring summer and at halloween and new year's eve.
